Now that I've read book 7, I can't get into my wartime [info]hp_summergen fic. I like what I wrote pre-DH, but now I can't get back into it. SLKDJFS.

my new FAVORITE gen fic (partly because of the title from T.S. Eliot, but mostly because it's really, really good) is HERE.

And I normally hate Romilda fics.

my [info]springtime_gen gift was posted yesterday, and it is FANTASTIC.

it's here, and it is seriously good. it contains a plot twist that makes me green with envy, so don't start reading and write it off as just another final battle fic, because it's not.

in other news: saw hot fuzz with a bunch of friends. was hilarious, though so, so long.

my [info]hp_summergen piece is suddenly GOOD, for which I'm so glad.
if one of my nine lj friends feels like randomly beta-ing something within the month,
that would also be good.

it's 70 degrees out here, and there's a promise of vodka and wine for me tonight.
wonderful.

And finally, while getting the right side of my mouth numbed by the dentist, I came up with my [info]femgenficathon idea.

YESSSSSS.

I have no idea where this story came from, as it's quadruple the length of the [info]hp_tarot one that I've been stuck on, and wasn't triggered by anything at all.

This is the first story in a while I've really, really worked on, and that tends to spell disaster for me, so any and all reviews would be appreciated. A lot. An unexamined fic is not worth posting, and so on.

I've wanted to write a fic using the war & time-travel for a long time.

So...read, please?

Title: Yet This Great Wink of Eternity (1/?)
Word Count: 3,814
Rating: M for some sex, miscarriage & character deaths.
Summary: He is going to kiss her, she’s sure of it. She tries, for a depraved second, to believe he’s got voices like midsummer and her eyes are the color of champagne. Her breath sits on her teeth and Hermione’s dark eyes shut and-

the magic floods through her flourlike palms )

Decided to do one of the abandoned requests over at [info]dmhgficexchange, and basically spent 2500+ words playing with conditional/future tenses.

I'm not exactly happy with it, but all the same, I'd loooove feedback!

Also, am completely stuck on my [info]hp_tarot fic, which is basically a thousand-word jumble about Tom Riddle. Drat.

Title: Happenstance
Type of Valentine: Fiction.
Disclaimer: Harry Potter belongs to J K Rowling. No profit is being made.
Rating: M, for language and references to sex.
Warnings: See the rating.
Notes: I struggled a bit with this request, and I’m not sure I fulfilled it, but I hope you do enjoy this, [info]audiodays, and for all readers, I hope the repetition doesn’t kill you.
Summary: Draco kisses her in a way that hurts her teeth and fills her with a want of something, and Hermione thinks that maybe she likes the way she can see his jawbones in the bluish light of the parlor. A story of wartime imaginings and realities.

( HAPPENSTANCE )

Valentine For: [info]blurred_reality

Title: Under the Gypsy Moon
Author/Artist: [info]apricot_bath
Type of Valentine: Fic
Disclaimer: Harry Potter belongs to J K Rowling. No profit is being made.
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Character death.
Notes: Thanks to M, my fantabulous beta, who knows how much I struggled with this one. [info]blurred_reality - you wanted ‘angst’ with a ‘sad, cry-your-heart-out ending’, and I’m really not sure if I delivered, but I hope you do enjoy this!
Summary: Malfoy’s face is still, and he is so quiet that Hermione waits for him to move, her hands trembling with pity. The teacup in his hand disappears in a wink of bluish light, and Hermione feels his accidental magic burn her elbows. A war-time love story.

"all things are watching her"

Title: A Torrent of Sunbursts
Rating (G through NC-17): PG
Word Count: 2,269
Prompt: [info]30minutefics challenge #150: a pair of gloves, a plant, an hourglass.
Summary: Hermione and Ginny are two of a kind, widows long after they deserved happiness. When they take tea, neither discusses this, but it hangs between them, connecting them like a spider web between boughs of a tree, delicate and glassy. HG + RHr. Character death.

Title: Lighthouse
Rating: PG-13
Prompt: [info]100quills, #28 - lovers
Word Count: 663
Summary: Pansy believes in the magic that tangles with her blood; she is full of righteous disdain, scorn that tastes like chalk, lines her throat like soft dust, every day when she sees children like Granger, like Potter, like Anthony Goldstein, who speaks so much like Draco, in a voice like honey tumbling into the sea. [Draco/Pansy, with side of Anthony/Pansy]
